Radiation Burn Not Healed Yet

So, another month has almost passed since my last entry.  That radiation burn on my intestine that showed up with an irritation on April 5th is a stubborn one.  I’m still eating mainly baby food and rice with some shrimp.  Sunday night I ate a KY Fried meal with the family for Father’s Day.  It was so good and ‘set’ well, but I had a setback in the night – cramps and diarrhea and so weak that could hardly put one foot in front of the other on Monday.  I think that if I could see this burn healed, I would not feel too bad, except for what might be going on in the liver and lungs.  So, I sure do welcome your prayers to God for me.

God is good.  The Lord sent rain last week.  He is very good to those who love Him and even to those who do not (Matthew 5:45).  On my property alone it amounted to 2.6 million gallons or about 10,000 tons of water.  It came from the air above!  It came in little drops!  It came evenly all around!  It was pure!  It’s all marvelous.  We don’t often think about it.  We don’t much give thanks and praise.  Look at this sequence:

Job 5:8  But as for me, I would seek God, and I would place my cause before God.  Why?  Job 5:9  He does great and unsearchable things, wonders without numberExample?  Job 5:10  He gives rain on the earth and sends water on the fields.

The point?  The rain is a powerful witness of God’s great goodness and unsearchable wisdom (Acts 14:17).  We have every reason to pray, to seek God, and to place our cause before Him.
